Bahrain updates: 9 July : Bahrain court jails Nabeel Rajab over tweeting

Nabeel Rajab, Bahraini human rights activist and the head of BHRC was sentenced to 3 months in jail on charges linked to anti-government comments he made on his Twitter account. After surrounding Nabeel's house, masked riot police raided the house and arrested Rajab forcibly.

Also, the court orders to disband the Islamic Action Society (AMAL)₂, and sentenced 15 detainees to 45 days for participating in a protest.

On the other hand, BCHR has documented the arrest of 5 protesters from Abu Saiba and tortured in the horse stable in Budaiaa₄, 2 from Muharraq ,1 from Al Naeem, 6 from Dar Kulaib and 3 from Aali, though there was no protest at that time. Moreover, a 19 years old guy was kidnapped after raiding his house in Abu Quwah, brutally beaten for an hour and verbally abused by 10 policemen escorted with 2 Bahraini police officers.
